“She recalled on the first attempt from deer outside.”
Recall prey drive win: My dad opened the RV door without telling Aurora to wait when there was a deer maybe 20-30 feet away. She ran out with him, but she recalled on first attempt!! It was right there!

“Clue heeled past another dog today!”
Today Clue and I went on a walk (without treats) and he was able to keep his head with several dog. We also needed to pass a little Shih Tzu and Clue heeled past, only breaking once and easily enough being directed back into position.
No treats, just me encouraging him. He's definitely given me hope that he can learn to leave dogs alone!

Small but big wins from the last month: Milo will settle on his mat for the duration of two humans eating! He also settled at church without a chew for nearly 45mins & was able to be handler focused during greeting times!

Phases of The Curriculum

Exercise and Enrich Your Dog Easily
No lasting behavior change can happen without making sure our dogs' needs are met first. This part of the program teaches you to make your ideal schedule with your dog to meet all their needs without adding too much to your plate. You'll feel on top of things and ready for more after completing this stage.

Teach Essential Manners in the Home
This phase is all about learning how to train the essentials at home like - stopping counter surfing, grooming easily and without fear, leaving dropped food alone, and basic obedience like sit and stay. You'll enjoy hanging out with your dog at home again without frustration or overwhelm.Â

Teach Calm Behavior Outside of the Home
This stage is all about the behaviors you want to change outside the home. This will cover things like pulling on leash, chasing wildlife, barking at people or dogs, or refusing to listen outside of the home. You'll feel confident and ready to do life with your dog for years to come after this.

Two courses - Barking in the Home Crash Course and Reactivity Resolved - to teach your dog to stop barking at noises, people, or other dogs.

My puppy's first instinct is to play with everything in her mouth. For example, I have a little firm pillow I want to teach her a chin rest onto but she always tries to go after it to bite at it and play. Last night in our lobby we were waiting for the elevator and got rushed by this very reactive smaller dog that frequently causes near dog fights to break out. Charley calmly stayed next to me as we waited for the dog to move away from the elevator so we could enter, didn’t do anything more than glance at the dog once. Huge win!

“Didn't need to worry because he was settling so well.”
We have practiced the settle protocol that is in the courses a couple of times to try and get a natural settle. We've made it up to about 5 minutes in training sessions, honestly he might have even settled for longer this time while I was talking and got engrossed in conversation!

Hi, I'm Blythe.
I have trained over 200 dog and handler teams with goals from basic manners at home to public access and task training for service dogs. I've completed certifications from the leading trainers and organizations in the industry.
And yet, I still felt overwhelmed trying to manage my own dogs needs while dealing with limited time and energy due to chronic illness.
I expected to learn these things from my classes, but they were all catered towards able bodied folks.
Through the years, I've developed systems that work to train dogs (pet or service) in a way that works for EVERYONE, not just work from home, able-bodied, neurotypical people with tons of time on their hands.
Now I use what I’ve learned to help people just like you train their own dogs at home without adding more items on your to do list (or breaking the bank).

“Stopped mid-chase without cues.”
Tonight on our walk Rae saw a rabbit who took off. Rae took two steps and stopped before she got to the end of the leash! It’s a huge win that she kept her brain long enough to stop the chase on her own!

“Listened without treats in my hand.”
Super proud moment for Panda this afternoon. Our neighbors sit on our wall and tease my dogs. Panda ignored them calling her name the first 10 times then she got up and gave them a warning as they leaned into our background. I was actually able to call Panda to me without anything in my hand. Which is a big win since our backyard really is her rule free zone.

“Held a down stay with his cat friend.”
Had another win today. Rhys is over double the weight compared to one of my cats. He finally held his down stay long enough today for the cat to love on him, flop over and them to groom each other just a little before he got too excited and popped back up.
